Welcome to Race to the Base!
Please read the following Terms & Conditions before booking onto any event organised by Race to the Base. In these booking conditions, “you” and “your” means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) or any of them as the context requires. “We”, “us” and “our” means Race to the Base.
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DETAILED BELOW APPLY TO ALL ENTRANTS PARTICIPATING IN RACE TO THE BASE 2025. COMPLETION OF AN ENTRY FORM OR PURCHASE OF ANY ENTRY BY EVENT PARTICIPANTS ACKNOWLEDGES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BY THE PARTICIPANT.
You accept all and full responsibility for your actions whilst participating in any Race to the Base event. Race to the Base will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or illness howsoever caused as a result of participating in any of our events.
You agree to contact Race to the Base and let us know at the earliest opportunity if you are unable or no longer able to participate in any event.
If you are unable to attend an event for which you are booked onto, for any reason whatsoever, Race to the Base is unable to offer any refunds, in part or in whole.
If an event is cancelled by Race to the Base due to unforeseen circumstances, we aim to give you at least 24 hours notice, where possible, and you will be entitled to transfer your booking to another event organised by Race to the Base.
If an event is cancelled by Race to the Base due to extreme weather, or weather that the race directors deem unsafe for race participation (sustained windspeeds >50mph, visibility <50m, sitting snow/ice along >3 miles of the race route), you will be entitled to transfer your booking to another event organised by Race to the Base.
In the event of any cancellation, Race to the Base will not be liable to refund or otherwise compensate for any costs incurred by participants in respect to travel, accommodation or equipment.
By participating in and undertaking any of our events you confirm that you are fit, healthy and have an appropriate level of fitness for the event for which you are booked. You are responsible for informing Race to the Base of any medical or non-medical details that may affect your or another participants safety and enjoyment. All medical conditions will be treated in a confidential manner.
Race to the Base events are covered under our own independent public liability insurance provider. You acknowledge that personal accident and personal items insurance is your sole responsibility.
All participants must be over the age of 18 years.
Our events primarily take place in off-road environments, the nature of trail running means that terrain may be uneven, unstable or slippery. You are also aware that the event takes part in a rural and remote part of the Highlands, where emergency medical care can be several hours away at any time. You must take responsibility for your participation and decide if you are happy to proceed on any sections of the route.
By participating in a Race to the Base event you grant the right and give permission for Race to the Base to produce photographs, film, video and other media (media) which may feature participants. Any media may be used for promotional or advertising purposes.
If there are roads Race to the Base do not have the authority to stop traffic. Major road crossings will be marshaled and all runners are required to do as the marshals ask. All other roads are small country roads and traffic is generally very light. All road sections will be signed to warn drivers of your presence but Race to the Base ask that you all behave in a safe manner and are aware of your surroundings at all times.
Headphones are a distraction while running on or near roads and can make it difficult to follow instructions from the marshals. We therefore advise against wearing headphones while participating in any of our events.
We do collect relevant information from you for our events through a third-party ticket sales company. Although we have access to this information we will never pass on this information to other third-party groups.
Medics working for us on the day of an event will have access to any medical information you have disclosed but it will remain completely confidential.

Sell, rent, or sub-license material from Race to the Base
Reproduce, duplicate or copy material from Race to the Base
Redistribute content from Race to the Base
This Agreement shall begin on the date hereof.
Reservation of Rights:
We reserve the right to request that you remove all links or any particular link to our Website. You approve to immediately remove all links to our Website upon request. We also reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and its linking policy at any time. By continuously linking to our Website, you agree to be bound to and follow these linking terms and conditions.
Removal of links from our website:
If you find any link on our Website that is offensive for any reason, you are free to contact and inform us at any moment. We will consider requests to remove links, but we are not obligated to or so or to respond to you directly.
